Hi, I’m Doug.

I was born and raised in Vancouver BC. My first passion is acting for theatre, and I graduated from the National Theatre School of Canada in 2016. Then in 2020, I returned to school to study massage at the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy.

I like my work, and I feel lucky to spend so much time one-on-one with interesting folks, helping them relax, relieve their pain or fix their mechanical problems. I think bodies are fascinating to study, and the stories people tell share are a big part of that.

One of my goals is to understand the series of events that lead to pain, or connect an injury/surgery in one place to pain or restriction in another, explaining the connection in a way that makes sense. It can help a lot to understand why you’re in pain.

I think our beliefs shape our actions and our bodies to a large degree, and I’m always interested to hear what feelings and beliefs people have about their bodies, lifestyle, or limitations.

I’m an art fan - movies, music, painting, sculpture, literature & poetry mostly. I like to cook, and I like my houseplants. I built a canoe last year with my dad. What else would you like to know?
